Glittering Eyes
You went away
Without to say
If you were to stay
Or if you were to go
Away
That left me longing
For you to be coming
For you to be knowing
What you should
Be doing
But if I tell myself I don't want to go there
I know it is a lie
Cause I know where I want to be tonight
I've seen the coasts of Scotland
I've been to Mull Of Kintyre
But something drags me homeward
It's your glittering eyes
No need for tomorrow
No chance to borrow
Stuck in this sorrow
Of wanting it all
Right now
I know where it ended
You now where you landed
But things have mended
And truth's no longer
Bended
The sunset at Grand Canyon
A beauty I can't describe
But it wasn't where I want to be tonight
The feeling up in the mountains
Each and every worthwhile sight
But something drags me homeward
It's your glittering eyes
Just a little step away
Just that little step away
To be where I want to be tonight
I get on the track quickly
Stopped by the flickering light
I open the door and I finally
Know that I'm alright
